The radio receives the AM 520-1710 kHz and FM 87-108 MHz bands. You can power it from the rechargeable battery or from AAA batteries, and the mode switch is inside the battery compartment. Charge the battery via USB-C or with the hand crank: turn it at a steady pace, there is no need to press hard or turn it fast.

Through the USB-A output the radio supplies power to other devices, such as a plasma lighter or a headtorch, so at home it works as a small charging station.
