HELP BAG® BASIC basic emergency kit: what is in your evacuation backpack

A basic emergency kit is a ready-packed backpack that you keep at home in case of a blackout, flood or evacuation. HELP BAG BASIC has 31 items in a waterproof backpack made of 70% polyester and 30% PVC. The whole thing weighs about 6,5 kg, and the warranty lasts 24 months.

For the first hours you have 500 ml of water, water disinfection tablets and three food rations of 200 g each. Power and light come from a 10 000 mAh power bank with a 3-in-1 USB cable, a 5000 mAh dynamo radio charged with a hand crank, and a head torch. For cold and rain you pack an emergency sleeping bag, a thermal blanket, a poncho, a neck gaiter and hand warmers, and next to them sits a first aid kit with a CPR face mask. The EXTRA STORAGE module inside the backpack keeps the small items together.

Is BASIC suitable as an evacuation backpack? The safety guide from MSWiA, MON and RCB includes on its evacuation backpack list, among other things, bottled water, water purification tablets, a first aid kit, a torch, a hand-crank radio, a power bank, compatible cables, a sleeping bag, a rescue blanket, energy bars, a multitool and a lighter.
